Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect only the information you choose to share with us — typically through our intake form, by email, or by phone. We don't buy lists, scrape data, or pull information from third parties to enrich profiles. The information we collect falls into a few categories:

• Contact information you provide: name, email, phone, mailing address, county.
• Case-related information you share to help us evaluate your matter: descriptions of your situation, relationships, asset summaries, document copies you send.
• Site analytics: standard server logs and aggregated traffic data (pages viewed, referring source, browser, region) — used to understand which content is helpful. We use privacy-respecting analytics with no cross-site tracking.
• Cookies: minimal — only what's needed for the site to function. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.

How we use it

We use the information you share to do the work you've engaged us for, communicate with you about your matter, and improve our services. Specifically:

• To respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations.
• To represent you under an engagement letter, if we agree to take your matter.
• To send you relevant communications about your case.
• To send the firm newsletter — only if you've explicitly opted in.
• To comply with legal and ethical obligations (record retention, conflicts checks, tax reporting).

What we don't do

• We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.
• We do not share your information with marketing partners, data brokers, or affiliates.
• We do not use your case information to train AI models.
• We do not track you across other websites.

When we share information

We share information only as needed to do your work or comply with our obligations:

• With courts and government agencies when filing on your behalf.
• With service providers who help us run the firm (secure document hosting, e-filing portals, accounting). These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality.
• With your consent when you ask us to share information with another party (a financial advisor, accountant, real estate agent).
• When required by law — court orders, subpoenas, regulatory inquiries — and only to the extent required.

Attorney-client privilege

Information you share with us in the context of seeking legal advice is generally protected by Florida's attorney-client privilege and our professional duty of confidentiality. This is much stronger protection than a privacy policy alone. We treat all consultation information as privileged unless you explicitly waive that privilege.

Note that the privilege only attaches once an attorney-client relationship is formed. The first 30-minute consult is privileged from the moment we begin discussing your matter; submitting a contact form is not yet privileged but is treated confidentially as a matter of firm practice.

Data retention

We retain client files for at least the period required by Florida Bar rules (currently six years after case closure) and may retain longer for matters involving real property, trust administration, or potential ongoing relevance. Closed-file retention is in secure storage with restricted access.

Inquiry information from people who don't become clients is retained for a shorter period and deleted on request.

Your rights

You can:

• Access the information we hold about you.
• Correct information that's inaccurate.
• Delete information that we're not legally required to retain.
• Opt out of any marketing communications (newsletter, etc.) at any time.
• Ask questions about anything in this policy or our practices.
